Free economic zone Mogilev has been established in 2002 for a period
of 30 years.
Resident enterprises operating in the FEZ Mogilev have been registered
as entities with foreign investors from Great Britain, Germany,
Russia, Austria, Turkey, Denmark, and Latvia. More than 75% investments
have been canalized to chemical, machine building and metal processing
industries.
Territorially, the FEZ is situated in the regional capital Mogilev
(about 370 thousand inhabitants) and consists of four areas.
The Mogilev region accounts for 12% population and 16% production
output in Belarus. In the region, there is a wide network of high-educational
institutions (11) and specialized secondary-education institutions
(21).
The city of Mogilev (first mentioned in 1267) is one of the major
industrial centers in the country.
The Dnieper River flowing through the city is the third largest
river in Europe. This is a crosspoint of the most important highways
in the direction of Poland, the Baltic countries, Russia, and the
Ukraine.
You can directly reach Moscow, St.Petersburg, Murmansk, Kherson,
Simferopol, Chisinau, Minsk, Vitebsk, and Grodno by railway.
Railway junction makes it possible to deliver cargo directly to
enterprises situated in the territory of FEZ.
Motor transport enterprises effect cargo operations in Belarus,
CIS, and distant foreign countries (Germany, Italy, France, the
Netherlands, etc.).
From the Mogilev Airport you can reach Minsk, Moscow and Kaliningrad
in no time.
